With 70% of recruitment businesses never growing to more than 10 people and 40% of start-ups not making it past their 5th birthday, it’s not easy starting and building a business to any kind of scale. “That’s where Recruitment Entrepreneur comes in”, says Greg Hollis– newly appointed Regional Managing Director for Recruitment Entrepreneur in the North West. Greg has joined the senior management team, with Abid Hamid, Group CEO and James Caan CBE, Chairman, to replicate the success of the existing operation and provide life changing opportunities for talented recruiters to become successful entrepreneurs.

Recruitment Entrepreneur was launched in 2014 and boasts a portfolio of 16 businesses in eight offices, working across multiple sectors with many now operating globally. They invest money and experience in people they believe will become great leaders and entrepreneurs empowering them to build world class recruitment businesses.

“It’s this incredible ethos and impressive growth that attracted me. The drive and energy of the existing businesses and team is contagious. I believe Manchester and the surrounding cities in the North West are key to RE’s future growth strategy, and I’m looking forward to meeting business owners and budding entrepreneurs in the northern region and elsewhere, if the right opportunity presents itself”.

Miranda Hilton, CEO of Group8, a legal search and consultancy business and the latest addition to the portfolio stated why she chose to partner with RE, “I applied to scale my business around their model as I knew I would succeed with their expertise. I’ve met some exceptionally talented people and have daily access to superb marketing, IT, ops and finance teams. The biggest lesson has been you can have 100% of something and it may be all yours, but it can be 100% of nothing”. Click here to see Miranda’s interview.

Commenting on the launch, James Caan said, “I wanted to create a business that supports talented recruitment professionals to learn from my mistakes. Since inception we have fostered a community of start-up businesses who benefit daily from the expertise within the portfolio. All our joint venture partners have access to people who possess the knowledge and the know-how to build businesses for accelerated growth”.

If you have the ambition, and would like the opportunity to become one of Recruitment Entrepreneur’s 2018 investments apply now.
